With the help of a nutty forgetful Count, 14-year old Lala journeys through Castle Forgetful to seek her real name and an exit out of a what seems to be never-ending palace.

After making of the mistake of calling for help at the front gates of Castle Forgetful, [name not displayed] is swept away and taken into the castle where she is greeted by the count... ....only to mercilessly beat him down black and blue with a candlestick holder in sheer horror quickly after. Because of her stay in the castle, [name not displayed] has forgotten her name due to the castle's cursed of making people forget certain things. And (not so much of a) thanks to Spades, she is renamed to Lala and spending her days suffering through all of the stupid and ridiculous traps and spooky rooms that's in Spades' castle while trying to survive the constantly assassination attacks... ...wait, what's there to thank again? Now attacks are being focused towards HER...even though she's pretty sure there's really no reason to. While she is normally quiet and patient, for the most part, Lala is no roll over and cry damsel in distress. She knows how to handle herself in the world and doesn't try to rely too much on others. How she came to be like that, she can't remember. The castle's cursed slowly started making her forget all about herself. Her only hope to to leave the castle.. if she survives.. or doesn't kill Spades first. Note from Antares: I like Lala.. but I think sometimes I'm a little too hard on her. She's gonna have alot of freaks and weirdos to go through. Hang in there, Lala!    Real Name: Merm El-Melloi Spades Age: 260 Gender: Male Hair Color: Plum Purple, White Eye Color: Purple Race: Negatyw Weapon: Whips Likes: Tea, guests, new and fun things Dislikes: Recollection of "father", boring things Appearance: Chapter 01 Page 04 Bio: Upon her accidental arrival inside of the castle, Lala is confronted by a frightening grinning man known none other than Merm El-Melloi Spades, the nutty Count of Castle Forgetful. Though he's a bit scary at first, he turns out to be a not-so-bad guy. In fact, he's probably one of the happiest people living, just by nature. He immediately takes a liking to Lala and welcomes her openly.. ..again, and again, and again. The truth is Spades has a problem. A big problem. A HUGE problem. He has short term memory loss and has the (really bad) habit of forgetting what he's doing, what's going on, or even who Lala is most of the time.. and it's more than a pain to be patient with him because he has the tendency to get on the very last surviving nerve you have.. even if it's not intentional. Until now, Lala never exactly seen the count.. and so far, she's not liking what she's getting. But despite his goofy and nutty personality (not to mention his habit of just randomly falling asleep anytime/where), he's got alot of secrets that are stored away in Castle Forgetful. Apparently until Lala showed up at the front gate calling for help, the count has been 'sleeping' for around 50 years. And now there are assassins that are intruding into the castle, seeking his life for reasons he's not even sure of. Though according to them, there are a number of mysterious events that occurred 50 years ago which would lead Lala to uncover some shocking realizations. Note from Antares: I'm proud of Spades. He's one of the most original characters I've ever thought up of. I'm so glad people like him so much!.. though I still kind of find it strange that people keep comparing him to a fish. *shudder* People, I did NOT get the whole short-term memory thing from Finding Nemo, lol~! Miles Leroy Age: 170 Gender: Male Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Inverted Grey Race: Negatyw Weapon: Scythe Likes: Puzzles games, fishing Dislikes: Sweet things (tooth ache!), Crowin Appearance: Chapter 02 Page 32 Bio: Smiley is Spades' best friend... or at least he USED to be. Of course, one might come to grow a grudge after he was sealed inside of a room with no way out after Spades accidentally fell asleep somewhere else and then completely forgot who he was. When finally able to get free thanks to Spades and Lala (on accident, actually..), he immediately targets Spades out of anger. Smiley isn't his really his name. Like Lala, Spades named him that.. even though Smiley hates it. He's quite calm most of the time, but say the wrong thing, and a nasty temper will make itself known. Smiley became Spades' friend after a terrible incident. He fell in love with a girl named Iris, a daughter of royalty back in the Negative World. And when their relationship was found out, Iris was killed and James' heart was carved out. Spades, finding him in time, took him in and gave him a new fake heart and a mask to help him breathe. According to Smiley, Spades used to be very different 50 years ago. So it's no surprise he comes off just as frustrated and confused as Lala... who he soon grows to have a brotherly affection for.. due to she's the only person he can have an intelligent conversation with. Note from Antares: It's going to be interesting playing with Smiley. Most of the time I've seen really big and tall guys like him portrayed as just brawn and no brains. So I'm going to have Smiley prove people wrong, because he's extremely intelligent, too.   Real Name: Barthomeloi von Hearts Age: 46 Gender: Male Hair Color: Pink Eye Color: Red Race: Negatyw Weapon: Hammer Likes: Spades, designing outfits, matching colors Dislikes: Bad fashion, home Appearance: N/A Bio: Hearts is a strange cross dressing boy (yes, boy..)who suddenly appeared in Castle Forgetful looking for Spades, claiming to be a "fan" of his.. who Lala and Smiley have no idea why anyone would want to be a fan of that nutcase. Though, apparently Hearts was told stories about Spades and felt the need to go see him. There's probably another reason why, but that's not known yet. Hearts has two sides to his personality; most of the time, he's sweet and cheerful, but then he can turn real evil and bitchy when provoked or when he gets into a fight.. which he loves doing, by the way. He gets alot of joy out of destroying things with his hammer. At first he didn't seem to like Lala at all because he thought Spades was "taken", though after figuring that there wasn't anything between them, he grew very friendly and protective towards her. He's got a great sense of fashion too! He is the one that picks out the different outfits that Lala wears.. and the ones for Joint too, later on. Note from Antares:Hearts is going to be a fun character. He's going to even up the scales so Spades isn't alone on being the only 'weirdo' of the good-guys in the series.   Real Name: Barbel Ron Shir Baritone Age: 145 Gender: Female Hair Color: Strawberry Blonde Eye Color: Pink Race: Negatyw Weapon: Voice, Fists Likes: Singing, opera, pretty girls, fancy outfits Dislikes: Villains, spiders, scuffing her shoes Appearance: N/A Bio: Pride, honor, and confidence. Barbel has all of the qualifications any man would have to be a strong knight.. only except she's not a man. Barbel was one a world renowned opera singer in the Negative World. People would travel the world just to see and hear her sing. Though after many years of playing the leading role of a knight, she gave it up to become a real knight to serve under the royal Clover family and became a personal bodyguard of the youngest sister of triplets, Iris. However, after the princess' mysterious death, Barbel cut her connections to the royal family and sought to investigate the death, which would shortly bring her to Castle Forgetful 90 years later. Because of her honorable character, Barbel can't stand seeing a damsel in distress. So instinctively, she pledges her life to Lala and grows incredibly protective to her...which will lead to frequent beatings upon Spades (she uses no weapons either, since she thinks weapons are for cowards). On her own, Barbel has an odd personality; in the middle of conversation, she will become theatrical and break out into song whenever. Though Lala is pretty sure she's just as much of an oddball as the rest of them... not too surprising. Note from Antares: This totally awesome character was made by Trash. Age: 62 Gender: None Hair Color: White Eye Color: Different Race: Homunculi Weapon: Shapeshifting, Morphing Likes: Eyeballs, coffee and tea, sightseeing Dislikes: His real name, Rutile Quartz Appearance: N/A Bio: A traveling entertainer in the Negative world, but a runaway at heart. He was the first homunculus ever created by Rutile Quartz. And according to Rutile Quartz, was his greatest creation yet. However, he was created without eyes just so that he would be considered inferior to his master and was constantly abused and tortured until he had finally had enough and ran away. He traveled around the Negative World collecting many different eyes (always wearing different kinds because he never his his own to start with) and posting as a public entertainer along the way to make a living. Though, after hearing that Rutile Quartz was working under Diamond to scheme something for Castle Forgetful, the immediant notion of hate for his former master kicked in and traveled to Castle Forgetful to try to stop him. Being with Rutile Quartz for so long (whom he still called "Master" by habit), he has picked up alot of scientific knowledge. He's an all around intelligent gentleman with smooth talking and good manners. He is also the only living, breathing person that knows Rutile Quartz's past and knows him so well that he considers Riot and Uru to be faillurs compared to him. Though there will probably always be that lingering fear of Rutile Quartz for all that he's done to him in the past.. and thus, will probably never be as strong as him. Though he's willing to give it a shot after making a few new friends.. Note from Antares: Mercier was made by Minten. He had to much character and background to him, I almost had no choice but to make him a main character. Bwahaha! XD |
